Position Overview:
This position’s primary focus is to advance the message and mission of She Dreams of Alpine with thoughtful written and visual content creation for social media, free resources, as well as core training material. This is a part-time position with the potential to grow into a full-time role.
But first, a few important questions…
✅ Do you love creating engaging content (written and visual) and developing connection and community through social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook? If you hate social media, this is NOT the role for you.
✅ Are you passionate about all things outdoor backpacking and would you feel confident leading your friends or peers into the backcountry on a safe and fun adventure? You don’t need to be a “backpacking guide” or have any fancy outdoor “degrees,” but we ARE looking for someone who already has quite a bit of experience (personal or otherwise) with outdoor backpacking.
✅ Are you interested in empowerment and mindset work? Mindset and empowerment is a core part of our work at She Dreams of Alpine, and we integrate these lessons into everything we do. It is a core part of our brand voice.
If you said YES to all 3 of those questions above, please keep reading…

More about She Dreams of Alpine
Who We Are:
We are a fast-growing, woman-owned company committed to helping all women and other underrepresented genders feel safe, confident, and self-sufficient in the outdoors through the skill of outdoor backpacking with our proprietary method, The Backpacking Badass Framework – no matter what level of experience or time in their life they’re starting from.
We provide the coaching, content, and community that adventure-seeking women need to successfully implement The Backpacking Badass Framework inside our popular course and coaching program, Become an Outdoor Backpacking Badass®. We also serve our audience with live and virtual events or retreats, the She Dreams of Alpine blog, a weekly email newsletter, and other online-based communities. We have a growing adventurous-minded audience of 60,000+ and are on a mission to serve as many women as possible in their pursuit of a more adventurous & empowered life.
We are a company committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. We believe this is ongoing work, and we are committed to investing our time, money, and energy into this work. We are by no means claiming to be perfect in this area, and we have a long way to go, but please know if you join this company you’ll be expected to partake in ongoing trainings and help us to identify opportunities where we can continue to make our programs, systems, and company a more diverse and equitable place.
Core Values:
We believe in and live by the following core values:
Personal Responsibility & Self-Integrity - We are committed to radical personal responsibility and self-integrity. That means, we recognize and take accountability and ownership for our actions and results, but also are loud and proud of our accomplishments and contributions to the team. We are responsible for the energy we bring to the team and the Backpacking Badass community. Also, if circumstances change and affect our ability to complete a project, we are honest and straightforward with others so we can adjust as a team as needed and move forward.
Lead with Compassion – Our customers have entrusted us with their big dreams. We honor that trust by providing the very best customer experience possible and are always looking for new ways to surprise and delight our customers. We are 100% committed to serving our customers at the highest level with the full respect, compassion, and quality they deserve. We always respond & lead with compassion in every interaction with customers and the She Dreams of Alpine audience.
Raising the Bar & Owning It – We continuously strive to be an example of what’s possible for women. We are in pursuit of raising the bar for these groups both inside our program AND as a company. When we succeed, we show others that they can too. We lift as we climb, and we are not ashamed of our success. We believe that growth is important & meaningful. We refuse to stay stagnant and are always coming up with new, outside-the-box ideas that will blow our customers away and take our company to the next level. We value and nurture creativity in our team. We know that as we grow, so does our widespread impact. If we stay small, our impact on both our customers and our community suffers.
Coachability & Education – We request and welcome direct feedback to improve performance and understand mistakes are part of the learning process. Our team members are committed to education and growth because there is always room for improvement.
Simplify to Amplify – We strive to make our systems and processes efficient and lean, and we execute them at the highest level possible. We focus on the work that gives our customers and company the most impact.
Abundance over Scarcity – We believe in a world filled with opportunities and possibility instead of scarcity. Yes, we expect to come up against challenges, but when faced with a challenge or tough circumstance, we’re always asking, “What’s the opportunity here?” instead of feeling like we have no power over what’s happening. The way we face and approach challenges makes us different from other companies. Instead of dwelling on scarcity, we always look for abundance and possibility to guide us to solutions. In this way, we are resilient.
Rest & Adventure is Essential – We built She Dreams of Alpine on the belief that the status quo for “work” should be challenged and that there is a better way to be both successful at work and live a great life. We believe you CAN have it all. You can do work you love, live where you want to live, and live an overall aligned life (mind-body-soul). We work together as a team to simplify our systems and focus on our biggest impact in order to allow for this flexibility so that we can make plenty of room for our love for adventure and the outdoors, rest when we need it, and live a truly aligned life.
Team Alpine Perks:

We believe backpacking is a powerful catalyst for self-empowerment and is a radical form of self-care that everybody who is drawn to the outdoors can benefit immensely from.
You’ll receive competitive compensation for your work.
You’ll get to do your work from anywhere: your living room, the coffee shop, a climbing gym… Our close-knit team consists of remote employees and contractors, so you’ll be able to work anywhere in the United States that has a reliable internet connection.
You’ll receive flexible time off and workweek schedules (see core value #7)
You’ll get to work in a fast-growing online company, where there are plenty of growth opportunities.
The Team:

We also meet up in real life from time to time (when possible) for team planning, annual team retreats, or even just backpacking or climbing trips for fun.
Forget the traditional corporate culture. Allison (the CEO of She Dreams of Alpine) left that behind years ago for a reason and has created something entirely different! Have a question? Have an emergency? Having a bad day? Need a mental health day? At Team Alpine we’re all here to support you however we can!
Development:
Your success on our team is important to us, which is why we invest heavily in employee growth and development opportunities - courses, workshops, events. We are committed to creating an environment for YOU to do your best work.
